Overview
PhotoCen ("we", "our", or "us") allows you to request deletion of your personal data and account. This page explains how to do so and what data we remove.
Delete Your Account (Full Account Deletion)
If you have a PhotoCen account, you can permanently delete it and associated data:
- Signed-in users: Go to your Profile or Account settings. Find the "Account Deletion" or "Delete account" section. Enter your password and confirm (e.g. by typing "DELETE") to permanently delete your account.
- What is removed: Your account record, profile information, email, name, stored preferences, and (subject to our retention policy) links to content you uploaded or generated. Backups and logs may retain anonymized or hashed references for a limited period for security and legal compliance.
Face Recognition and Biometric Data
If you have opted in to face recognition features:
- You can request deletion of your face data from Settings → Privacy & Data (or the equivalent Privacy settings in your product).
- After you request deletion, we mark your face vectors for removal. Actual deletion is processed within the timeframe stated in the product (e.g. within 24 hours).
Third-Party Sign-In (Google, Apple, Facebook)
If you signed up or signed in with Google, Apple, or Facebook:
- Deleting your PhotoCen account (as above) removes your PhotoCen profile and our use of the identifier from that provider. It does not delete your Google, Apple, or Facebook account.
- To revoke PhotoCen's access to your data from those providers, use the respective provider's account or app permissions settings (e.g. Google Account → Security → Third-party access; Apple ID → Sign-In with Apple; Facebook → Settings → Apps and Websites).
Request Deletion by Contacting Us
If you cannot delete your account or data through the product (for example, you no longer have access to your account), you may request deletion by contacting us:
- Email: [email protected]
- Include the email address associated with your PhotoCen account (or the identifier you used to sign up) and a clear statement that you want your data deleted.
- We will verify your identity where possible and process your request in line with applicable law. We will confirm once deletion has been completed or explain any limitations (e.g. legal retention).
Retention and Exceptions
We may retain certain data where required by law (e.g. tax, fraud prevention) or for legitimate business purposes (e.g. resolving disputes, enforcing terms). Deleted data may persist in backups until those backups are overwritten; we do not use backup data for active processing.
